πŸ’– Welcome to CHSS!

We’re so excited to have your dancer join our CHSS family!
Our mission is to build confidence, community and joy through movement.
We believe every child deserves a safe, encouraging space to express themselves β€” no matter their level, shape, size or outfit.

This Welcome Pack will help you understand what to expect, what to bring, and how to make each class a fun experience for everyone.

🩰 What to Expect

Our classes are focused on fun, confidence and friendship.
We teach correct technique, but never at the expense of a child’s joy or self-esteem.

Each class includes:

  • A friendly welcome & warm-up

  • Skill-building games and movement activities

  • Short routines taught gradually

  • Positive feedback and encouragement

  • A relaxed cool-down before home time

We keep class sizes small so every child feels seen, supported, and safe.

πŸš— Drop-Off & Pick-Up Process

Please arrive 5–10 minutes before class so your dancer has time to settle in.

Drop-Off:

  • Parents can walk children in for sign-in.

  • Students will place their belongings neatly near the mirrors or wall.

  • Teachers begin promptly at the scheduled time.

Pick-Up:

  • Parents must collect children from inside the studio, unless written permission is given to walk home alone.

  • Please avoid chatting inside the dance room at changeover time so classes stay on schedule.

  • If someone different is picking up your child, please message or let us know on arrival.

Safety is our top priority β€” we never release a child to someone not listed on your pick-up form.

🌼 Studio Etiquette (Kid-Friendly)

We are kind.
We listen.
We try our best.
We celebrate others.
We keep hands and feet to ourselves.
We bring our water, smile, and positive attitude.

And we remember:

β€œWe don’t have to be perfect, we just have to dance with heart.” πŸ’—

β˜• Parent Etiquette (Calm & Gentle)

We love our parent community β€” your encouragement is what keeps the studio positive!
Please help us by:

  • Arriving on time and encouraging punctuality.

  • Keeping phone calls and loud conversations outside the dance space.

  • Supporting coaches when gentle behaviour redirection is needed.

  • Speaking kindly about all students, teachers, and peers.

  • Communicating absences or lateness early when possible.

We know family life is busy β€” no judgement here. We’re all human, and we work together to make dance a happy place.

πŸ“† Attendance & Communication Policy

  • Regular attendance builds confidence, friendships and consistency.

  • If your child will miss class, please message the studio.

  • Missed classes are non-refundable but may be made up if space allows.

  • If a class is cancelled by the studio, we will offer a credit or replacement class.

Communication:

  • Updates, news and reminders are shared via email or our Facebook group.

  • Please ensure your contact details are current on your intake form.
